Blue Cliff College assists the students in helping themselves in availing of a variety of financial aid packages in the form of grants, scholarships, work-study, and loans. Students have the opportunity to choose from the wide variety of financial aid services keeping in mind the guidelines meant for eligibility and qualification. The students are flexible to opt for assistance with due respect to their specific needs and plan accordingly as per their family income and progress in academic sessions. They must complete the FAFSA and meet other institutional requirements to apply for the most suitable financial aid. The institution caters to almost 80% of the students enrolled in a variety of programs under the college.

The scholarships and grants awarded at Blue Cliff College are:

Federal Pell Grants – Pell Grants are federally-funded grants that are awarded to those who qualify. Students should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form and send it to the Financial Aid Office at the College to apply.

William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan Program – Direct subsidized and unsubsidized loans are available to students who have demonstrated financial need as determined by the federal regulations. No interest is charged while the student is in school for at least half of the time. Direct unsubsidized loans are not based on financial need, and interest is charged during all periods. The FAFSA is required to apply for the direct loan programs at Blue Cliff College.

William D. Ford Federal Direct Parent (PLUS) Loan – Direct PLUS Loans are low-interest loans that are available to parents of dependent students or for graduate/professional degree students. Interest is charged during all periods. A FAFSA is not required when applying for a Direct PLUS loan.

Federal Direct Consolidation Loans – Students who have existing student loans may apply for a consolidation loan upon graduation or withdrawal from Blue Cliff College. Information regarding consolidation loans will be provided during the student’s exit interview.

TOPS Scholarship Program – TOPS (Taylor Opportunity Program for Students) is a program of state scholarships for Louisiana residents who attend either one of the Louisiana Public Colleges and Universities, schools that are a part of the Louisiana Community and Technical College System, Louisiana-approved Proprietary and Cosmetology Schools, or institutions that are part of the Louisiana Association of Independent Colleges and Universities.
