Admission Process
To get admission to the various graduate and undergraduate level programs at McCann School of Business & Technology, Pottsville the students need to follow the given steps.
Step 1- Giving the Wonderlic Scholastic Level Examination (SLE)
Before enrolling for admissions, the students need to give the Wonderlic Scholastic Level Examination and submit a score of 13 or more. Students can achieve this by giving any number of attempts as there are no limits for attempts.
Students having an associate degree or higher are exempted from this step.
Step 2- Interview with the admission representatives
The student must reach out to the on-campus or the remote admission representatives.
These representatives would then exchange information with the candidates using a personal interview. This interview would help in finding out what programs from the institute are best suited for the applicants based on their career preferences, training needs, and individual motivations. This process tells the students whether any programs of the institute will help them in achieving their educational goals or not, and also if they should further continue with the enrollment process or not.
Step 3- Submissions of transcripts and other documents
After the interview process, the students need to submit transcripts for all the previous educational qualifications and also the other supporting documents of prior academic work.
Step 4– Giving the Wonderlic Basic Skills Test (WBST)
The students then need to prove their skills in Math and English in case they have enrolled for a program that requires both. This is done by giving the Wonderlic Basic Skill Test. If the student is not able to qualify for this test, he is required to take foundation coursework for both English as well as Math. Students having completed college-level coursework in English or Maths and have the documents required to prove the same is exempted from the test. Although, if transcripts proving the same is presented after the completion of the Wonderlic Basic Skill Test, the students would have to take up the foundation courses if the WBST results indicate the requirement.
Step 5- Giving the Smarter Measures Assessment and starting the journey
The Smarter Measures assessment is a test based on non-cognitive indicators of success, which helps to evaluate a student’s readiness to engage in post-secondary learning. The results from this assessment help to analyze the type of support that is most helpful for the student.
Then a Faculty member will analyze the results with each student and develop a plan for the support that the student might need, that can be provided by the school. The student then starts his/her journey at McCann School of Business and Technology.
