At SBCTS, the total percentage of applicants who receive the Federal Grant stands at 53%. On the other hand, 76% of the candidates get the Student Grant, 76% receive the Institution Grant, and 53% get the Pell Grant. And, for the Pell Grant awardees, the average aid amount is $5,106. The annual family income of the applicants is also considered for determining the total financial assistance that they will be eligible for. On average, students with an annual family income of less than $30,000 will obtain a federal aid of $3,815 per year. For the $30,001-$48,000 and $48,001-$75,000 family income brackets, the average aid amount stands at $4,189 and $3,060, respectively. Meanwhile, the average federal aid for students in the $75,001-$110,000 income bracket is $268. And, for those with a family income of more than $110,000, the amount stands at $1,910. In addition to financial grants and scholarship schemes, students can also avail of monetary benefits like student loans to pay for their education. But, they should understand that student loans are borrowed at a certain rate of interest, unlike grants and scholarships. While grants and scholarship schemes do not require repayment, student loans should be repaid by the applicants within a given period. At SUM Bible College and Theological Seminary, the percentage of candidates who opt to avail of student loans is around 68%.
