UI&U is not particular when it comes to the admissions process. The university ensures a smooth and hassle-free admissions process, contrary to the admissions process of other universities. UI&U is an open admissions university and has an acceptance rate of 100%. We have discussed the admission process, along with the requirements in detail down below.

The first step to apply, is, of course, creating an account. With the help of this account, the student can keep track of their applications, financial transactions, and the programs the student may have enrolled in. UI&U does not charge an admission fee during the entire process! You can apply for admission by clicking on the given link!

Basic Admission Information

Union Institute and University do ask the applicant to hand in a completed application along with an official transcript. This transcript undergoes heavy scrutiny. The Admission officials also host an interview with the student to get to know them better.

UI&U does not require your Standardized test scores i.e. SAT and ACT scores. However, the university does give preference to students who have AP Credits. Furthermore, an acceptable high school grade is required. Once the admission process is complete, you can login to the university’s Campus Web for detailed information about your courses. The university has also made their course catalog available to everyone, including the Academic Calendar for the year 2020-21.

SAT Scores you need to get in

SAT scores have been considered a good way to help colleges interpret the students' overall academic performance. But it is important to note that there is no concrete information regarding the average SAT score or similar requirements for admission to Union Institute & University. Notably, at the university, SAT scores are not one of the mandatory requirements to get an admission.

ACT Scores you need to get in

ACT scores weigh a lot of importance and make a candidate a strong applicant for securing admission to any university or a university of their choice. However, Union Institute & University does not put much emphasis on the ACT scores of an applicant. But candidates can submit their ACT scores for securing admission to the university. Union Institute and University have set a bar on the student’s GPA. For the undergraduate level, a minimum Cumulative GPA of 2.0 is required. If you wish to get selected in the university’s graduate program, you will require a Cumulative GPA of 3.0 from any regionally accredited institution.

As mentioned above, UI&U does not give much importance to SAT and ACT scores. However, they do have a certain set of requirements that you must keep in mind while applying here.

The official transcript provided to the Admissions department should not be copied, xeroxed, or tampered with in any manner. Doing so will hinder your chances of admission here. Furthermore, International Students must be proficient in English. A score of 79 in the TOEFL exam is a must. The university also encourages a minimum grade of 6.0 in the IELTS and a score of 54 in the PTE Academic.
