The admissions at Saint Leo University are rolling so that, the candidates can enroll at any time and begin their studies. The candidates can start their studies during any one of the university's six convenient start dates throughout the year. The admission process for Saint Leo University's undergraduate and graduate degree programs were simple and straightforward. Saint Leo University offers military-friendly admissions for the students who served in the military.

Saint Leo University Undergraduate Program Application Process

Students who are applying for enrollment in any one of the Saint Leo University's online associate's or bachelor's programs must:

  • The applicants must fill out the online application.

  • The candidates should submit the one-time nonrefundable application fee of $45.

  • The proof of high school graduation must be submitted by the applicants if they have not attended any other regionally accredited college or university. The proof can be in the form of:

    • An official secondary school transcript.

    • An official GED score report.

  • The candidates must submit official academic transcripts by providing a chronological list of all colleges and universities they have attended, even if they did not complete a full academic term.

  • Transcript Release Form from each regionally accredited college or university the candidates have attended or in which they were enrolled should be submitted by the students.

  • The official scores for the following standardized examinations should be submitted by the candidates (if applicable):

    • Advanced Placement (AP).

    • College-Level Examination Program (CLEP).

    • Defense Activity for Nontraditional Education Support (DANTES).

    • Excelsior College Exams (ECE).

    • USAFI.

    • Regents Examinations and other applicable examinations.

  • The professional training documentation for possible academic credit must be submitted by the candidates if they are a graduate of a nursing training program (include license), or a police officer who has completed training with the FBI National Academy, police institute and/or certified polygraph schools.

  • In order to obtain academic credit for the candidate's training, verification of training/ service is necessary. Some specific limits will be having for all non-traditional sources of credit.


Saint Leo University Graduate Program Application Process

Students who are applying for enrollment in any one of the Saint Leo University's online graduate programs must:

  • The applicants must fill out the online application.

  • The candidates should submit the one-time nonrefundable application fee of $80.

  • A current resume must be submitted by the candidates that demonstrate two or more years of their progressively responsible professional work experience.

  • Two professional recommendations must be submitted by the candidates that are completed on forms.

  • The Statement of Professional Goals of 500 words or more must be submitted by the applicants that outline how their educational and career goals match Saint Leo University's program. The questions that are to be addressed in an essay will be given in the application.

  • A Transcript Release Form from each regionally accredited college or university the candidates have attended or in which they were enrolled (even if you did not complete a full academic term) must be submitted.

  • The candidates must have earned a bachelor's degree from any regionally accredited college or university with a minimum of 3.0 GPA on 4.0 scale unless otherwise approved by the Director of Program.

  • The candidates should submit their Transcript Release Form to the Office of Graduate Admission directly. 

  • If the transcripts have been previously submitted by the Graduates or former students of Saint Leo University and are on file, they do not need to submit again

  • The GMAT scores must be submitted by the candidates if applicable.

    • A minimum GMAT score of 500 can be used to meet the eligibility criteria if the applicant has less than 3.0/ 4.0 GPA in the last 60 credits of a bachelor's degree.

  • The candidates should send Official GMAT test results directly to the Director of Graduate Admission.

  • The university will not accept the test scores which are more than five years old.

  • The applicants for M.Ed in Educational Leadership Concentration and M.Ed in Reading Concentration are required to submit a copy of their valid professional teaching certificate.


Saint Leo University Application Process for International Students

The international students must follow the following additional steps to apply for enrollment in one of Saint Leo's online programs:

  • The application fee must be paid by the applicants with funds drawn from a U.S. bank and made payable in U.S. dollars. For undergraduate programs, the one-time, nonrefundable fee is $45 and $80 for graduate programs.

  • The applicants should have evaluated their non-U.S. credits by an approved international transcript evaluation agency.

  • The applicants should provide proof of English language proficiency and must be demonstrated in any of the following ways:

    • Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 550 in a paper-based test or 213 in a computer-based test if their native language is not English.

    • SAT with a minimum score of 450 on the verbal component.

    • English composition courses with the grades of B or higher where English is the primary language of instruction.

    • Two semesters with grades of B or higher in English composition courses at regionally accredited post-secondary institutions in the United States are required for transfer students.

    • An Association of International Educators-recognized ESL program must be completed successfully.

  • The applicants are not required to take TOEFL examination if they are holding an undergraduate degree from an academic institution within the United States or English-speaking nation or from an institution where English is a primary language of instruction.
