About the Scholarship
Jackie Robinson Scholarship is authorized and is sponsored by the Jackie Robinson Foundation. The foundation came into existence in the year 1973 by Rachel Robinson as a non-profit organization.
Jackie Robinson Scholarship provides financial need to college students to support services and is awarded to high school graduates who demonstrate excellent performance in academics and who plan to graduate baccalaureate degree from an accredited, four-year college or university.
Students must demonstrate community needs in insightful, thought-provoking, and new ways.
A letter of recommendation must be submitted by the students.
A current official transcript must be sent by the students applying for this grant.
Candidates are required to submit their ACT/SAT score-cards.
The candidates are instructed to exhibit their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) application to determine a student's financial position to pay for their education.
Award Amount and Deadline
This scholarship award ranges from $7500 annually which is renewable for three additional years.
The total number of awards offered by this scholarship varies each academic year based on the availability of funds.
The applications are to be submitted to the respective department on or before the end of February 01, 2020. Any delay in the submission of the application will be disqualified.
Candidates must be legal residents of the United States.
Must demonstrate a commitment to community service.
A student must be exceptional at their academics and maintain SAT score of 1000 or higher or an ACT score of 21 or higher.
