Baker College Admissions

Baker College is a private not-for-profit institution that offers more than 100 programs for students from all the various walks of life and from various countries. The college offers both online and on-campus programs. The institute aims at providing students with quality education.

For the year 2019, 684 women and 522 men applied for admissions at Baker College. Of these, 431 women and 209 men were accepted for admission. Thus, Baker College has an average acceptance rate of 53%. From all the ones accepted for admissions, 530 students enrolled in the University, making the per cent admission yielded 83%. The admissions at Baker College are highly competitive and the process is quite selective. 

 

Admission Process

To apply for admissions in graduate or undergraduate programs at Baker College the student needs to follow the admission procedure. The steps involved in the admission process are as follows-

Step 1- Filling the application

The initial step for getting admission is to fill the online application form.

Step 2- Submit the transcripts and other necessary documents

The students then should submit their high school transcripts, college transcripts, and other necessary supporting documents for their educational and professional backgrounds or any achievements. Although it is not required, students can submit ACT/SAT scores for undergraduate admissions or GMAT or GRE scores for graduate admissions in case they have these scores.

Step 3- Review of the application

The admission department then carries out a review of the application based on academic performance and other achievements. 

Step 4- Confirmation and completion

The admission team then communicates the results of the evaluation to the applicant. Then the applicant is required to fulfil certain formalities to confirm the admission and finish the admission process.

Undergraduate Admission Requirements

To get admission to Baker College a student must fulfil some admission requirements.

The requirements are as follows- 

  • Complete the online admission form.

  • High school transcripts- The students are required to apply for their official high school transcripts. Electronic transcripts are accepted if they are directly sent to the University by your highschool. Although, it can also be sent through postal mail at this address-

  • GED score report should be sent in place of highschool transcripts if applicable.

  • ACT/SAT score- the students are not required to submit either ACT or SAT scores in order to get admission, however, the college recommends to submit any ACT/SAT score if they have already attempted either of them.

  • The students need to fulfil a minimum GPA requirement.

  • Baker College considers Credits as a factor of evaluation in the admission process. The students must submit any AP credits, dual credits, and credits for work-life experiences that they might have.

  • It is not required nor recommended that the students submit letters of recommendation 

  • An application fee of $30 is applicable and is charged at the time of applying for admissions.


Graduate Admission Requirements

The students applying for graduate admissions at Baker College need to fulfill the following requirements-

  • Resume- The application must include a professional resume describing the Applicant’s sequence of academic achievement and any professional involvements. 

  • Applicants need to have completed a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

  • Applicants with undergraduate degrees from educational institutions nationally accredited by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools may be conditionally admitted to the College if all other graduation requirements for admission are fulfilled.

  • Transcripts The applicant must submit transcripts from all the previous educational qualifications. The Bachelor’s degree transcript from the graduate college must be with a GPA of 2.5 on a scale of 4.0

  • GMAT or GRE scores- It is not required to submit the GMAT or GRE scores, however, it is recommended to submit if you have any.

  • The students are required to submit an admission essay covering the following points-

    • How have your academic work, professional work, and/or life experiences prepared you for graduate school?

    • What are your personal, professional, and/or career goals five and ten years after you earn your Center for Graduate Studies degree?

    • How will earning this degree help you achieve these goals?

    • What do you view as your greatest strengths and greatest challenges as you begin the graduate journey? How will you utilize your strengths to overcome these challenges?

  • Supporting documents- The students are required to submit the supporting documents for all the academic and professional experiences.
