ECPI University Admissions

For over 50 years, ECPI University has been successfully helping students achieve their career goals. It provides not just the skills that are needed in today’s workplace but the support and services to help students succeed.

Hence, the admissions process at ECPI is quite stringent. Careful consideration is given to each applicant’s qualifications in the following areas: academic potential, readiness, personal motivation, and goals. It is the university’s goal to facilitate an effective and applicant-friendly admissions process. Admissions Advisors of the institute are always available to assist the prospective students throughout this process.

ECPI University Acceptance Rate

The greater the acceptance rate of a college or a university, the easier it is for the prospective candidates to get into the college or university and vice versa.

ECPI University has an acceptance rate of 72%. This means that out of a hundred students applying for the college, about 72 students would be selected for admission. So, it can be inferred that getting into the university is a bit selective and competitive.

The selection admissions process ensures that incoming students make informed decisions regarding their educational investment and are prepared for postsecondary education.

Application Process

The admissions process at ECPI University is pretty straightforward and very easy to go through. The prospective candidates can get started with their journey with the university by following these three simple steps:

  • Schedule an appointment to meet with an Admissions Advisor and discuss their career goals, interests and needs, and financial planning. The applicants will learn about the educational opportunities, programs of study, student services, and career services assistance and will receive a tour of the facility.  An appointment can be scheduled by clicking the "Request Information" button located at the top right of every webpage on this site or by calling any of our local or toll-free telephone numbers.

  • Determine the preparedness to undertake college-level coursework: This includes the applicant’s understanding of basic math and English concepts. The type of assessment is dependent upon the applicant’s program of interest.

  • Complete the application for acceptance: Complete all required enrollment paperwork, submit the application fee, and meet with financial aid advisors to determine the financial aid availability.

ECPI University has a rolling admissions policy regarding the deadline.

The idea behind rolling admissions is that it offers the university a large application window for students — sometimes six months or longer — and that universities respond to applicants as the applications come in instead of waiting until after a particular deadline (although sometimes rolling admissions periods do have deadlines). This allows students to start their studies year-round.

ECPI University receives admissions applications throughout the year and classes begin every five weeks. Applications are reviewed upon receipt. Applicants are notified as soon as the application requirements have been fulfilled, with most decisions made within one week from the date all documents are received.

In the US, a majority of the universities incentivize students by helping them earn university credit by taking certain courses in high school. Dual Enrollment (also known as Dual Credit), AP Credit, and CLEP (Credit for Life Experiences) are some of the popular programs that are available for students. However, the policy regarding these credits varies from university to college. These programs have multiple benefits such as a higher GPA, increased chances of finishing the degree, and a shorter time to complete the degree. Students can easily apply for AP and CLEP credits by visiting collegeboard.org and request to submit the scores to the university of their choice.
