Medical College of Wisconsin(MCW) is a private not-for-profit institution established in the year 1893 at Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The college is committed to discover and translate new knowledge in Biomedical and Health Sciences.
Since its establishment, MCW has been an innovator and a distinguished leader in the education and development of the next generation of pharmacists, physicians, scientists, and health professionals. MCW Accreditation
The functioning of the Medical College of Wisconsin is in accordance with the requirements of the Department of Education. The Medical College is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC).
The HLC is one of the six regional accreditations in The U.S. MCW is also accredited by the Liaison Committee for Medical Education (LCME) which is the accrediting body for the U.S. allopathic (MD-granting) medical schools.
LCME accreditation recognizes that the Medical College of Wisconsin provides a medical education congruous with the standards of other allopathic medical schools. Other accreditations include the Council on Education for Public Health(CEPH) and Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education(ACPE).
