Financial aid for students at Mountain Empire Community College can come in the form of grants, loans, scholarships, and part-time jobs. Federal aid is the first option when it comes to applying for financial aid at Mountain Empire Community College.
Under federal programs, the first one is Federal Pell Grants. This grant is awarded to students who are yet to earn their Bachelor’s degree. The maximum Federal Pell Grant for the year 2020-2021 is $6,345.
The eligible students will be awarded this aid once they’ve filled the Free Application for Federal Student Aid(FAFSA). The second one under Federal Aid is Federal Work-Study which provides part-time jobs to students with financial needs.
