Pacific University is a private not-for-profit institution that is located at Forest Grove, Oregon and was set up in the year 1849 by United Church of Christ (UCC)as the Tualatin Academy. The university maintains three other campuses in the cities of Eugene, Hillsboro, and Woodburn.
In 1896 the Pacific receives a bronze Chinese statue as a gift. It soon becomes a college icon, called Boxer.1968 the Boxer officially replaces the badger as the school mascot. university's motto is-For Christ and His Kingdom. The university is accreditated and is recognized by the National Commission On Colleges and Universities(NWCCU).
