For admitting in any of the programs or major the student needs to go through a procedure and also needs to fulfill the requirements asked by the university. The details regarding the admission process and requirements are given below.

The admission process is not very complex, it is very easy and merely the same for all programs such as Undergraduates or Masters. The process starts with applying online by filling the application form.

Submitting High School Transcripts
The applicants are asked to submit the official high school transcripts to the university. Transcripts must be official and submitted by High School directly to the Office of Admissions and Recruitment. Transcripts will not be accepted in person or if they are unofficial.
Submission of College Transcript
Transcripts must be official and submitted by the college or university directly to the Office of Admissions and Recruitment. Transcripts will not be accepted in person or if they are unofficial. Some colleges and universities are able to submit transcripts electronically to the university on your behalf at [email protected].
If transcripts are not available to be submitted electronically, they can be submitted by mail or email to the Office of Admissions and Recruitment.
Submission of Test Scores
The students are asked to submit the official test scores applicants earned on the SAT or ACT exams. Official SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test), ACT (American College Test), GED (Test of General Educational Development), and/or TSI (Texas Success Inactive) scores must be sent to the Office of Admissions. When applicants ask the testing agency to send their scores, use the codes the agencies have designated for the university:
Permanent resident card
If applicable, provide a copy of your permanent resident card. The permanent resident card requirement applies only to non-U.S. citizens who have permanent resident status in the United States.
Submission residency affidavit
Most applicants don’t need to submit a residency affidavit. If you aren’t a U.S. citizen or a permanent resident but graduated or will graduate from a Texas high school, you may qualify for residency for tuition purposes and should submit the affidavit. The Apply Texas application will prompt those who indicate they meet these criteria to download the appropriate form.

Create a User Account
Applicants can do this after going to the application page and selecting the program and available semester they would like to apply for. Enter the following information in the Create Account section:
A username of 6-50 characters.
Primary email address. Do not use a shared email address. This email should be accessed by the applicant alone.
Applicant’s first name.
Applicant’s last name.
Applicant’s current postal code.
Applicant’s date of birth in mm/dd/yy format.
A password, using a minimum of six characters
Re-enter the password from the previous field.
Click on the Create Account button to start the process. The applicant will receive a system-generated verification email within a few hours. The account is active after it is verified. By creating an account, an applicant can start their application, save and return to their application until they are ready to submit.
Filling of Biographical information
The University collects biographical information as part of their permanent student record. Some of the information collected is used to determine residency status. The University does not discriminate based on age, race, gender, veteran status, sexual orientation or genetic information. Some of the information provided is used to determine if any additional requirements are needed to submit the application.
Register the Recommenders
Some programs require that applicant provide one, two or three letters of recommendation. Applicants may register their recommenders through an application. All they need is to register their recommender’s is the name and email address. The application site will email your recommenders and notify them that they have been asked to provide a letter of recommendation on your behalf. As a professional courtesy, applicants should notify their recommenders personally of your request, and follow up to ensure they were contacted by the application software, as sometimes those emails get lost in spam boxes.
Upload Required Documents
Beyond unofficial transcripts* and test scores, if applicable, applicants may need to upload other documents, such as a statement of purpose, a resume, or another form of document. If you are an international applicant, you must also upload your diploma certificate and proof of English proficiency in the form of passing Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) or International English Language Testing System (IELTS) scores.
Pay the Application fee and submit the application
Prior to submitting the application, the applicant must pass the application inspector, which checks your application for missing documents. Once you have successfully passed the inspector, you can make payment for your application by credit card or electronic check through a secure checkout. Once you have submitted your application, an automated confirmation email will be sent to you, and signifies your application is on its way to the Graduate School. U.S. Citizens, U.S. Permanent Residents and Mexican Nationals are assessed a $45 application fee. International students are assessed an $80 application fee.
