Neither required nor recommended

The admission requirements for getting into Utah State University have been listed below:

  • Applicants have to submit an application fee of $50 which is non-refundable.

  • With the university ranking in the top two per cent worldwide, they do lay great stress on academic success. However, the university also considers students who have success in sports or those who have put down a considerable number of community service hours.

  • In relation to High School Prep work the applicant should have 4 years of English and Math, 3.5 years of Social Science, 3 years of Lab-Based Science (one each: biology, chemistry, and physics) and 2 years of a world language (same language, taken progressively during grades 9-12). In the US, many universities incentivize students by helping them earn university credit by taking certain courses in high school. Dual Enrollment (also known as Dual Credit), AP Credit, and CLEP (Credit for Life Experiences) are among the most popular programs. Regarding these credits, however, every university has its own policy. The benefits of taking such programs include a shorter time to obtain a degree, a higher GPA, and increased chances of completing the degree. Students who want to avail AP and CLEP credits are recommended to visit collegeboard.org and ask them to submit the scores to the university of their choice.
