Institutional Scholarships

  • Centennial Merit Scholarship: These scholarships are available for students enrolled in specific programs. The scholarships are provided based upon financial conditions and merits.
  • WCU Opportunity Grant: These scholarships are provided to students who meet all WCU university requirements.
  • Norma Ford Memorial Scholarship: The scholarship is awarded based on academic and need-based qualifications. A minimum of 3.0 GPA is required along with financial requirements. Awards range between $5,000 to $2,500 based upon campuses.
  • Greg Jarvis Simulation Scholarship: This scholarship is provided to students with outstanding achievements in simulation education. An amount of $1,000 is awarded per student.
  • International Education Grant: Offered to students in the International Exchange Program, eligibility is required.
  • WCU CHOC Scholarship: Recipient must qualify eligibility i.e. employed at CHOC, no disciplinary actions, graduate from an accredited institution, etc.
  • WCU Nicklaus Scholarship: Recipient must meet requirements and submit proof of license and transcripts.

Federal Grants

  • Federal Pell Grant: Federal Pell Grant is provided to undergraduate students with financial needs and who have not earned any bachelor or professional degrees. A student can receive a Federal Pell Grant for no more than 12 semesters or the equivalent (roughly six years) up to $5,730.
  • Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG): This scholarship is for undergraduates with exceptional financial need; Federal Pell Grant recipients take priority; funds depend on availability at school, up to $4,000.
  • Teacher Education Assistance for College and Higher Education (TEACH) Grant: This grant is provided to undergraduate, post-baccalaureate, and graduate students who plan to become teachers. An amount of $4,000 is provided.

State Grants

  • Cal Grant Program: This grant program is directly credited to the student's account to cover outstanding tuition fees, and supplies.
  • Chafee Grant Program: This grant is provided to students who are current or a former foster youth and must not have reached their 22nd birthday as of July 1 of that year. This is provided to students for living expenses.
  • Florida Bright Futures Scholarship Program: This program offers scholarship awards to any high school graduate who merits recognition of high academic achievement.
