The University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP) is a public research university in El Paso, Texas. The university was established as the School of Mines in 1914, it is a member of the University of Texas System. UTEP is the second-largest university in the United States to have a majority of the Mexican American student population. The campus size of the university is 431 acres and they follow the semester-based academic calendar. The university focuses on providing quality education to its students.
