Even though the cost of attendance is on the higher side at The University of Scranton, it provides multiple financial aid options for the students to be able to afford education there. By providing multiple aids to students, the University of Scranton has built up a reputable amount of $75,799,365 worth of total aid provided to students.   • Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (SEOG): This grant is provided to students who are in need of financial aid. Award amounts vary according to the income bracket and need of the students.

State Grant

  • Pennsylvania State Grant: This grant is provided to students who are Pennsylvania residents. The award is coordinated by the Pennsylvania Higher Education Assistance Agency (PHEAA), who require students to fill out an online form and to mention their EFC according to their FAFSA information.

Institutional Grant

  • Dexter Hanley Grant: This grant is provided to students who are enrolled for a 12 credit course. Students having financial need are awarded this grant. Award amount will range from $500 to $13,000.
